There are a few different types of Easter eggs that you can use to hide around the house when it is that festive time of year, but the plastic Easter eggs are really loved by parents everywhere and there are a few different reasons for this. One of the main reasons that the plastic Easter eggs are so great is because they won’t melt.

With the other types of Easter eggs, if you hide them anywhere that is hot or you forget about them and a few days go by, they are probably going to end up melting. However when you hide candy in the plastic Easter eggs you are not going to have to worry about this and so that is a relief.

Another reason that you should opt for plastic Easter eggs to hide candy in around the house is because you get to decide what you put in them. If your children have allergies to certain candies or they just all have different preferences, with the plastic Easter eggs you are going to be able to pick and choose from the different candy as to what you want to have inside.

The plastic eggs are also larger in size and so they are easier to find and pick up for younger children if you have any that are going to be on the hunt to find eggs, so keep this in mind as well.

Make Your Own Plastic Easter Eggs

Now you can also make your own eggs just by taking some oval containers and coloring Easter eggswhatever color you want, and then once they are dry you can take them, fill them with candy and hide these around the house. The most important thing is that you have fun and that there is lots of candy around for the kids to get because they are going to have a great time.

There are lots of fun ways to make your eggs extra special too, for instance you could decoupage them, which is basically like paper mache onto your eggs. You would just create a mixture of glue and water with equal amounts of both and then take some of this, put it on the eggs and then cover each egg with paper shreds, and with a layer or two of glue. You can not only fill candy in them when they are dry but also underground them around the house.
